Understanding where the data is drawn from when creating a dataset

A dataset defines where the data is drawn from when running a report or dashboard. The most common use case is when creating a dashboard for your organisation, you need to use a dataset that includes your organisation as a source.

Multiple sources (organisations and groups) can be included in a dataset and the specific record types selected (projects, people, organisations, groups) with filters applied to ensure you target just the data you need.
